The Okta Customer Success Hub

Project Overview

The Challenge: Okta required a standalone, personalized hub to deliver custom content based on a user's unique technical setup and profile. Tasked as the sole designer, the project required turning a dense sheet of business requirements into a finished digital platform from scratch, all while navigating a surprise company-wide rebrand right in the middle of the timeline.

The Strategy: Full ownership was taken over the product's creative lifecycle, including mapping user paths, wireframing layouts, and establishing the initial visual framework. When the corporate rebrand dropped mid-project, operations quickly shifted to systematically audit and update the design system to ensure a flawless launch under the new visual identity.

Phase 1: Designing the Product from Scratch

Acting as the solo creative strategist, the business requirements document was transformed into a functional digital blueprint. After mapping out a comprehensive sitemap to handle personalized user data, those paths were translated into interactive wireframes and polished layouts. Total ownership of both the user flow and the final visual design ensured a frictionless, intuitive customer experience.

Phase 2: Managing the Mid-Project Brand Pivot

The project started during Okta's legacy branding but concluded during the rollout of the new corporate identity. As the sole designer, this required executing a smooth operational pivot. Instead of scrapping weeks of work, layouts were treated modularly. A comprehensive component audit made it possible to systematically map the old styling to the new brand rules, successfully updating the entire visual layer without delaying the engineering launch timeline.

The Outcome

The Okta Customer Success Hub is on track for launch in closed beta. By combining end-to-end creative execution with adaptive project management, this project serves as a clear example of how a solo design lead can maintain steady production and absolute brand consistency even during a massive corporate identity shift.
